Your Ethical Investment

The Investment Bond is invested in our Ethical With-profits Fund which has a diversified mix of assets including stocks and shares, government and corporate bonds, commercial property and some cash deposits. Its aim is to provide a consistent return and smooth out the short term ups and downs usually associated with stock market investments. The value of your investment grows by the addition of annual bonuses and is a truly ethical investment with none of your investment going to companies in the alcohol, tobacco, arms and gambling industries.

Sustainable and Responsible Investing

Sustainable and responsible ethical investing is firmly at the heart of all of our investment decisions. Our professional investment managers actively seek to invest in companies whose activities benefit society and the environment and uphold the highest standards of business ethics. We avoid companies or sectors that have a poor human rights record or fail to recognise their environmental responsibilities and those that are involved in certain industries and activities that our members have said are not consistent with their personal values.

A Mutual Society

Healthy Investment is an independent mutual friendly society. There are no shareholders to satisfy or benefit from your investment. Any surplus profit is distributed to provide you with the best possible returns combined with the highest standards of personal service. We are also a founder member of the Mutual Diversity Alliance committed to demonstrating inclusive behaviours and embracing diversity in all its forms.

Investment options

No age restrictions - making it the perfect investment choice, whether for you, your children or your grandchildren. Invest anything from £500 up to a maximum of £250,000 or £500,000 in joint names. Life assurance is included when you open the bond, meaning that we’ll pay out 101% of the original investment (less any withdrawals) or the current value (whichever is greater).

Income options

You can take 5% of your investment penalty free each year without any immediate tax consequences. You can make a one off or set up regular (monthly, quarterly or annual) withdrawals from your bond.

Safe and Secure

For added peace of mind and re-assurance 100% of your investment with Healthy Investment is covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme unlike cash deposits with banks and building societies where it is currently limited to £85,000 per individual.

I would definitely consider using Healthy Investment again for an Investment Bond or for other savings and investment policies

I would definitely consider investing again in an Investment Bond with Healthy Investment.

Important Information

Unlike cash deposits the value of stocks and shares can fall as well as rise and past performance is not a guide to future performance. However our  Investment Bond aims to provide a consistent return on your investment and reduce the impact of short term stock market fluctuations.

If the value of investments has fallen to the extent that we are not able to smooth out these market fluctuations you may get back less than you have invested, therefore capital is at risk.

When an annual bonus has been added to your investment the rate of bonus is guaranteed, however interim bonus rates can change during the year.

If you are not sure that this investment is suitable for you then you should consider independent advice. Tax rules can change in the future.
